Reopen Tickets Time Interval In The JS Help Desk!

Reopen Tickets Time Interval

From your admin dashboard, navigate to the Admin Dashboard > Dashboard Menu > Configurations > Ticket Settings > Reopen Tickets Time Interval. All details about the reopen ticket time interval and how the admin manages them are discussed here.

In JS Help Desk, the Reopen Tickets Time Interval feature controls how long a user has the ability to reopen a closed ticket. This is an important setting because it balances user flexibility with support team efficiency. Without such a rule, users might reopen tickets months after they were resolved, creating confusion and disrupting the workflow. By setting a time interval, you define a clear window during which tickets can be reopened.

Once a ticket is closed, the system starts counting the time interval you’ve defined. For example, if you set the interval to 7 days, the user has one week after closure to reopen the ticket if the issue persists. After that, the ticket can no longer be reopened, and the user would need to create a new ticket instead.
